JCM 2010 alumni- Back into bondage !!

JCM alumni have been taking a total trashing on other forums.

Overwhelmingly they are apparently backsliden charismatics with no standards whatsoever (the few that still go to church that is).

The reunion committe is also taking some flack for planning on engaging in organized sports (while others loudly protest how can you call GOLF a sport!) but it appears that they are willing to submit to a stringent written dress code for this event.

A radical departure from their grace flaunting ways?

One can only hope it is a step in the right direction since the following standards are apparently more strict than most of their PLATFORM standards:

Gaylord Springs Dress Code:

Appropriate golf attire is requested of all guests on the course and practice areas. Collared shirts are required for men. Shorts are permitted but should be of Bermuda length. No t-shirts, tank tops, cut-offs, sweat pants, bathing suits, athletic shorts or denim are permitted.

Which one(s)?

Most going to JCM reunion are scum or perverts?
Call to Arms (mentioned on another thread here)?
Restored preachers are deceived by grace and will never have standards?
Preachers wearing crosses are going to hell?
Liberals are the true legalists (spend all their time looking for loopholes)?
Whether or not someone has proven they deserve to be baptized?
Or the numerous LAMENTATIONS threads over preachers/saints now lost?

Because like it or not they all have a kernel of truth !!!!

Unfortunately, no good deed goes unpunished!

There are those who don't have a clue as to what the reunion is about, who will no doubt try their best to undermine it. I write this off as ignorance, and move on. A certain collateral damage effort is expected.

The reunion is a social event, not a church conference or meeting. Going to reconnect with old bible school friends does not mean that you've compromised or are giving your 'stamp of approval' to those who have chosen a different path than you.

JCM has it's share of "kooks" (both liberal and conservative), but doesn't every family or group?

Does this mean that I can come to this reunion? I missed the last one. Can't wait to see all my ultra-conservative, and liberal friends/peers. and former acquaintances.

Good grief! They don't have anything better to do over there at "the forum formerly known as JP" than to bash alumni of one of their former Bible colleges???? There are lots of ultra conservative people that went to JCM with me, and I love them all. Can't we all just get together and have a good time?
