Judging VS.Being Critical

If one lives for God,then one will have to make judgements about things, and certainly after prayer and bible study one will have to make judgements about what is sin,and one should not be harder in our judgements of others that we would want others to be of us.
And if someone has fallen into areas that the bible condemns as sin, such as adultery, fornication, murder and such we certainly can say someone has sinned or fallen into sin and even though we can be compassionate I believe.

However there is difference between making sound judgements and being critical or having a judgemental spirit there are those in the body of Christ, who seem to think it is their job to question everybody's motives, and even determine if another is breathing correctly or not it seems.

What are your thoughts on make judgements rather than being critical ?

Bro. Scott,

I believe that we can have sound judgments in all the things we do, i.e., relationships, finances, business transactions, ect. Judging one another is something that God handles.

Many times people are fooled into thinking they are offerring us good advice and only telling us what we need to work on so we can live a better life...like I said, they are fooling themselves....they are just being critical and judgmental.

Younger people today rate judgementalism as the greatest sin

"you are being judgemental" is an example of a judgemental statement.
