Please answer these very easy questions.

1. How big was the cloud Elijah's servant saw?

2. How many wise men does the Bible say there were at Jesus' birth?

Trick questions?

1 Kings 18:44 KJV And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man's hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not.

The bible does not say. It was not "three," anyway. Entire caravans of people and supplies traveled across the lands back then, since it would be too dangerous for merely three wise men to come all the way from the east to Bethlehem, due to bandits.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Please answer these very easy questions.

The cloud appeard to be the size of a mans hand.

Depending on how far away the cloud was would determine the size of a cloud that could hide behind an outstreched hand.

The cloud may have been the size of a couple of football fields.

Are we even sure they were wise men ? The exact number is unknown.

The nuber three is assumed because of the three gifts that were presented to the christ child.

True. If it had been literally the size of a man's hand, he wouldn't have even been able to see it, most likely.

At least two, probably at least three; but enough to create something of a stir.

Re: Please answer these very easy questions.

Many people think there were only 3 wisemen cause of the 3 gifts, but those gifts were certainly expensive in that day so it might have been that they pooled their money to afford those three gifts. I have even heard 'the experts' say that there were 3 gifts 1 for the manifestations of God. IDK...
