Re: Easter Drama Talk - Good, Bad and Ugly

We had our last "Practice" tonight. It was actually an unadvertised production for the regular church folks. (we also needed another run through before Friday night)

We have about 90 cast and crew, plus several dozen ushers and hospitality volunteers.

Should be a good year. Kristin is the Director and has added some new scenes this year. Our church seats over six hundred and we hope to have a full house for three nights.

The Romans never come as the good guys in these Easter productions. How about a story focusing on the centurion at the foot of the cross? Tell Kristin that I'm sending some revisions along to be worked out before Friday. She won't mind the changes.

About half the guys either have beards or have grown them for the drama. I get a longer one so it's glue and fuzz for me... I hate that stuff.

We do the Centurion scene. And the Soldiers do fall on their knees when the Earthquake hits...

Right now is NOT a good time to even suggest anything!

Ever think about making it a rock-opera musical?

Well in my humble opinion, the choir totally rocks out on a few of the songs... big on drums and an electric guitar too I think.

No really. She won't mind. And I have some ideas about changing that earthquake scene before Friday too. Just tell her.
