JCM Alumnus Dies

Those of you who attended JCM when I did may remember Jim Bergen.

I don't remember if he graduated with us but he went all three years from 1975-78.

I had seen Jim a few times since he moved to central Louisiana.

He was not a close friend - but a longtime friend. I'll remember the many ping-pong games and that houndstooth red-checked jacket he always wore.

I recognize the name, but can't put a face to it.

Look in your yearbooks ... he should be in all three of them.

I remember him. The article didn't say how he died. Can we know?

Sorrowfully, Rhoni

I don't know.

I wasn't aware he had health problems but I didn't see him or talk to him that much even though he lived in the area.

I'm going to the funeral home this evening and probably find out then.

I'll have to do that because all I have in my mind now is Kirby Higgenbothem.

I'll pray for the family. It is sad to think of our generation passing on...

Blessings, Rhoni

Nope ... it wasn't Kirby ...

... but Kirby DID play ping-pong and wear a houndstooth jacket so I can understand your association. lol

Jim was married during those years so he and Faye hung more with the Worleys, McCarvers and the other married folks.

Then later on you became a married-student's-wife yourself. lol

By the way Ren ... Jim enjoyed talking and fellowship so I'm sure he'd appreciate this on his obituary thread ...

I'll take all the gourmet cornbread mix you can send me. Let me know the cost.

Did you get my cornbread-out-of-the-oven video message?

Great!

No, it didn't come through - just a blurp, then nothing. I'll get with you on the cornbread - - good stuff, huh?
