TD Jakes' son gets in big trouble.
(Arrested and charged with indecent exposure.)
Fair or not, the actions of a preachers' kids are sometimes looked at as being a reflection on the preacher himself. I'd be interested to see what effect, if any, this will have on TD Jakes' reputation and/or ministry.

Jakes' Son Charged With Indecent Exposure
DALLAS (CBS 11 News) ― Jermaine Jakes, son of The Potter's House pastor T.D. Jakes, has been arrested and charged with indecent exposure.
According to a Dallas Police Department arrest warrant affidavit obtained by CBS 11 News, Jakes exposed himself to two undercover vice detectives at Keist Park on Jan. 3.

So sad!
I wish stuff like this didn't make the news.
This makes it official to me-- Bishop Jakes' son is at the bare minimum struggling with homosexuality.
His son is hurting no doubt. Having a father who is so successfully used by GOD to bring the freedom of the Gospel to so many folks, but he is indeed that same preacher's son, in the grips of a sin that is uniquely enslaving.
It's got to be painful for Bishop Jakes too. I wonder if he wonders that maybe he did something wrong or was neglecting somehow for his son to have this issue.
The man of God and his family need prayer, much prayer, especially his son.

Based on Bro. Jakes recent comments about homosexuality, I think Bro. Jakes already knew his son's struggles. We need to hold them up in prayer.

Jermaine Jakes is Bishop Jakes' step son!
This guy is in PAIN!!!!
His personal pain is now brought to plain view for the world to gawk at-- all the pressure, all the sadness, the rage and despair-- all over the newspapers and internet.
Saints of God, Jermaine Jakes needs our prayers and help.
I'd venture to say he also needs his father's love revealed to him in a deeper and more meaningful way.
I feel for this guy!

It is sad. I don't know what the "step son" identification entails. Was he adopted from a troubled home or some other similar situation? Given the ambiguity the reporters seem to have had in trying to clarify the "step son" status it appears TD Jakes himself was accustomed to being very inclusive and say "my son." This seems to indicate the presence of a lot of love and support from the father.
Whatever the exact details may be, it's sad to see any family suffer something like this.

not necessarily.
sometimes, people become more concerned with the image than the reality, especially when it comes to family issues and situations.
if father and son are unable connect, it often can mean pain right then and there and for the son once he's older.

It's not sad. I think this could be the mercy of God at work. This might be the catlyst that bringd the sons to salvation. As one who deals with prisoners, I know that sometimes the very best thing that can happen to a person is to get caught and exposed (so to speak).
