We live in Maceio about halfway doen the coast on this map...
We are in Belem right now. We have a wonderful little church here and a precious group of saints.
We will also be passing by Fortaleza visiting a little work we have there. The northeast is much in need of mission support. Many of our people are suffering yet they have done far beyond their means to make us confortable and have been so kind.
Our pastor here in Belem is 68 years old. They until last week were living with their son in law in such a cramped place. They borrowed around 2500 dollars and are building them a little house on top of the church...I don~t know but if anyone could help them I would appreciate it. All you have to do is mark your offering for Pastor Joao and I will know what you are talking about. I told them that over a period of 6 months I would try to help them pay their loan and raise a little more for them to get a decent bathroom put in and a few other things.
It pains me that so many of God's most noble people live in dire poverty. Do you need a blessing....the answer is to help someone else...

The northeast work really needs lots of prayers and help in many ways...Most missionaries go south....it is a lot easier...the north and especially northeast are so virgin territory for the gospel.

We just pulled in for the night. We do not travel in the north or northeast after dark because of so many robbers other than when we are going to and from some church. I don~t have fast internet at this little hotel but my modem is working...slow but working...
