It's been around for a while.
It is my understanding that it came about as a result of the Affirmation Statement.
When the Affirmation Statement was voted in (based on a lie from a pretty high official), there were some folks who just could not go along with where they perceived the organization as going.

Re: Anyone heard of GNCM?

It's a ministerial fellowship comprised of mostly former UPC/Oneness folks who don't believe in the UPC style 'holiness'. As Sam said, it started in the early 90's after the exodus of UPC ministers due to the compulsory signing of the so-called "Affirmation Statement" foisted on moderates and more liberal leaning ministers by the conservatives of the UPC. The group focuses more on fellowship and support of various independent ministries rather than on a consensus of doctrine and any sort of standardization of programs etc... I've been a member for about 5 years. In my state the org is pretty anemic and I don't attend any of the rare events that take place. However, I hear that there is new leadership that wants to make things better nationally and that in other parts of the country things are much more organized and more productive.

I recently mentioned that organization to a pastor and when he tried to contact someone in the group in his state for more information he did not receive any response.

Yeah, I'm not surprised. It's kinda the way things are done. I'm debating whether or not I should even remain a member. I send my money in but I don't even get invites to district events. I hear about national events, but I'm not interested in going to those. I'd hoped for local fellowship but I guess our state is too big for that. It's mainly a bunch of old crony's here.

Sam,
Sorry if this has been the topic of endless earlier posts/threads, but:
Q1. what was lie that a prety high official brought?
Q2. Was the lie delivered at GC? In a closed sesssion?

If it was delivered in a closed session, how were you able to source this information?
