Just curious how this forum began?
Why if you aren't apostolic would you post here or even be interested?
Why are so many posters unfriendly to others?

This forum began after another one closed. The one thing that connects all the people here is they are in, were in or have connections with people in the UPC or other oneness organizations. You would have to have been around here for a while and in past forums to understand and appreciate the dynamics.

Perhaps you don't have to be--but it helps!

How about this, you don't have to be a Christian to be civil!

The great controversy here is in defining what exactly makes one "Apostolic". Those of us that are right

know it to mean that one has repented of their sins, been baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of sins, has received the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues, and pursues a life of holiness unto the Lord.

But there are so many other strands here that I am not sure we could rightly divide them all.

Melody,

The first forum was FaithChildForum that Jim Yohe started. He was an UPC minister - he was unique. He like to push the envelop - ask questions - challenge people/beliefs. He passed away and the forum was taken over by someone else and eventually failed.

From that NewFCF was formed by Jim's sister. A lot of the same posters - picked up some news ones on the way. It was dissembled almost two years ago and a couple of the admins from NFCF created AFF.

As it has progressed there has been more open discussion allowed. Many times the oldies mention how much they miss the dynamics of FCF.

As Socali stated - - most of us on here are either UPC, ex-UPC, or other forms of Apostolic churches. We all have a common bond that ties us together.

It is a public forum - anyone can join - - we don't require them to be Apostolic (how would we know), but I'd say 90% have some type of Apostolic background.
