Church Without Walls in Foreclosure (Whites ch)
The future of Without Walls International Church, once one of the fastest-growing congregations in the country, is in jeopardy as the church faces foreclosure of its Tampa and Lakeland properties.
The California-based Evangelical Christian Credit Union holds the church’s mortgage and filed foreclosure proceedings Tuesday. The credit union has also initiated foreclosure proceedings on the church’s North Lakeland branch, Without Walls Central Church.
Court records show the church defaulted on a loan due in August. The credit union is demanding immediate repayment of that loan and the $12 million mortgage on Without Walls’ Grady Avenue property.
Without Walls owes $13 million on its Tampa property and $12.5 million on the church’s Lakeland branch, said the church’s chief financial officer, Norva Carrington.

Re: Church Without Walls in Foreclosure (Whites ch
This is from a blogger who commented on the above story. I found their take on this story of interest:
"I remember when Randy and Paula White would appear on TBN. She, in her ultra expensive St. John suits and he, with his perfectly coifed hair. They always looked superficial to me.
We later learned, of course, that it was all a peculiar game. As they sat and discussed what a wonderful marriage they had, obviously divorce was on the horizon, as even their own church members had no idea what was going on behind the scenes.
And then in no time flat, Paula packed up and moved to Texas, supposedly to help another man preach in his church. That man was none other than alleged womanizer, Rick Hawkins. Considering that the scriptures tell us to avoid the very appearance of evil, I’ll go ahead and admit that adultery came to mind when I saw what she did and how quickly after announcing the separation that she packed up and flew the coop. It could all be a coincidence, but it does not look right to me. Sorry, but I call it as I see it.
They tried to sell the church because realistically, who would want to hear Randy preach? At least Paula sparked interest. Their asking price was $30,000,000 back in March. No one took the bait, as the church is now in foreclosure. This is a BAD witness for Christ and the foreclosure leaves me wondering what spirit actually was ruling/lording/hovering over that church"

The fact that there are huge edifices like this that they need to sell is a telling testimony to the gullibility of we humans and the insatiable desire born in to mankind to have any king other than God himself.
Give us a king.
You talk to God... we don't want to.
All of these have been cries that have been heard throughout history and men do all they can to shirk the most beautiful experience there is to be had in this world... a one on one relationship with their God and Savior.

Re: Church Without Walls in Foreclosure (Whites ch
People are people and none of us without sin. Casting judgements is not what they, nor the people who were in their congregation need.
It does not waste energy when we pray - prayer changes things.
God, I ask that you bless Paula & Randy, do what you do best - Make peace out of the chaos we create. Please help the saints involved to look to you and find a solid home church where they can be fed.
In Jesus name,
AMEN.

I feel bad for both Randy & Paula. Neither one of them are the problem. The problem is that when scriptural principles become less important than growth, implosion is inevitable. In Christianity, we almost doom any move of God due to our misplaced confidence in those whom God chooses to move through.
I desire God to move to a degree that there is absolutely NO WAY I can take any credit for it whatsoever!!!

Re: Church Without Walls in Foreclosure (Whites ch
When I hear the prosperity/money thing preached more than salvation - I know that God IS NOT in it. If giving money to a person or church was a prerequisite for obtaining worldly wealth, then it would stand to reason that all God's people would be millionaires.
The truth is; the Bible teaches..."The poor we have with us always". The reason for this is stewardship and transgenerational patterns. God's church truly is...without walls. We don't need bigger and fancier buildings to have successful churches. We need the power of the Holy SPirtit, the fruits of that Spirit, and the gifts of the Spirit in operation in our lives and assemblies.
We need to see to the orphans and widows...means give to them, not take from them, and comfort those who are feeble-minded, and be healers.
I will step down off the platform now and put back on my pants...it si cold here in Texas...28 degrees. BRRRRR
Blessings, Rhoni

Re: Church Without Walls in Foreclosure (Whites ch
I think that so many people become so involved with gaining eartly wealth until they forget about the true purpose we are living this life. IMO, I believe in paying my personal vow to God and after that there is nothing else until he moves in my spirit to give. That is a lesson learned after many years of giving because someone begged for it. We can't buy the blessings of God. It isn't possilbe. The properity teaching has gotten so many in trouble.
As for televangelist, God is dealing with them. We must pray for them. Marriage, pastoralship and holy living are not ever to be played with. God will reveal things in time.

I would never take pleasure in anyone's downfall, but the only ones I feel bad for are the poor people who are duped into supporting their opulent lifestyle derived from twisting the gospel for their own personal gain.

You feel bad for Randy and Paula? How about saving a little sympathy for the people who mad them rich and were taken advantage of?
IMO,they deserve no pity whatsoever
