Where do babies go?
I have heard several different ideas from ministers and would like to ask the people on AFF. I know for many this may be a difficult subject. Please understand I do not wish to hurt anyone.
When a baby dies where do they spend eternity and why? Give any scripture or just share your ideas.
Up to what age would you consider a baby to be? We are not speaking of a child or adult that has a learning disability.
Do you consider a stillborn to be a person? Some say yes / some say no.

Re: Where do babies go?
Every child is a part of Gods plan no matter what its mortal fate may be. I know this is not the answer your looking for but I don't think there is a scriptural answer to your question.
In my opinion ? -- Life begins at conception, therefore from there forward to infant age I believe they are heaven bound.

Re: Where do babies go?
I have lost 3 babies, one was stillborn, one died within 24 hours, and one at 3 weeks old. I believe that their souls are with Jesus. I believe the same for babies that are aborted.
The reason I believe this is, I believe that sin is willful disobedience of God.

'bout as simple as it gets and I agree!
We are born into sin - not sinful!

Re: Where do babies go?
I agree with those who say that babies will go to heaven. The scripture basis is when David's baby dies, he says something to the effect -- that he will go and be with him.

No real problem exists over the use of "The Name" in everthing else done in the Church. Why then should there exist great controversy over the use of the "The Name of the Godhead" in water baptism?

Re: Where do babies go?
Here is the topic found in scripture.
2 Samuel 12:21Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread.
22And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether GOD will be gracious to me, that the child may live?
23 But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.
Babies and other such, go to be with God.

Cindy, we never know the heartache that others are carrying around, do we? I'm so sorry to hear that you've had to experience this in your life.
But I agree that their little souls are with Jesus. That is so comforting, don't you think?

Re: Where do babies go?
It would seem that those posted so far are all together.
I also think that babies and those to young to understand the truth, that God will take care of.
At the same time, the word states in John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Was he speaking of only those able to understand the truth and follow his word and not babies? Are we all not born into sin? Sin can not enter into the kingdom of God. Are babies exempt?
Some say that if a child dies and their parents are living in sin the baby goes to hell. If the parents are living and following the truth then the baby goes to heaven.
Please do not cast stones at me for this question, because as I said I think God takes care of them, but would like to hear from others that see it different.
