Rebuild the Republican Party - NEW WEBSITE

Republicans realize the need to change the direction of the party.

They have set up a website for people to sign up and give ideas for change. Here's the link

Re: Rebuild the Republican Party - NEW WEBSITE

I think they need to start right here.

Quote:
Bailing Out Ignorance

A new report from the Intercollegiate Studies Institute (ISI) on the nation's civic literacy finds that most Americans are too ignorant to vote.

Out of 2,500 American quiz-takers, including college students, elected officials and other randomly selected citizens, nearly 1,800 flunked a 33-question test on basic civics. In fact, elected officials scored slightly lower than the general public with an average score of 44 percent compared to 49 percent.

Only 0.8 percent of all test-takers scored an "A."

The ISI insists that higher-education reforms aimed at civic literacy are urgently needed.

Both Shenkman and the ISI pose a bedeviling question, as crucial as any to the nation's health: Who will govern a free nation if no one understands the mechanics and instruments of that freedom?

Answer: Maybe one day, a demagogue.

Re: Rebuild the Republican Party - NEW WEBSITE

Get back to what the party has been about.

First... REPUBLICan... good grief. A republic. Get back to a republic. People gripe about gun control, redistribution of wealth. All of that stuff is just democracy run amuck... if you know what a democracy is... A republic... Be REPUBLICans and bring back the republic

Small government. You can't do that spending billions upon billions all over the place.

Quit policing the world. We can't afford it. It isn't our business.

There are many more... but since they will never accomplish the list I have already given lets just save electrons and post no more.

Re: Rebuild the Republican Party - NEW WEBSITE

They can start next time by electing a conservative and one that does not have direct ties to big business oil and bankers. I still don't see how they can elect McCain...especially when he flip flopped his position just to get more votes.

Are people idiots? Do they really REALLY believe he changed his opinion on a position?

  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.

Stop ignoring realities in the name of principles.

Put up or shut up, so to speak.

Make real stands on real issues that they are really willing and able to affect.
