Ok, this is mainly a question for three-steppers like myself.
What MUST someone believe, in addition to repentance of sins and dead works, baptism in the name of JESUS Christ and HG infilling with speaking in tongues?
Does someone have to believe the oneness of GOD?
Does someone have to believe in baptism for the remission of sins (this would cut out some apostolics who believe they are saved at believing the Gospel)?
Does someone have to believe in the resurrection of the dead?
I ask this because there are some who are baptized with JESUS name spoken over them (like I was in the AG church) but those people don't even know what JESUS baptism means. Also, there are some who would still call themselves trinitatians, but they would see JESUS name baptism clearly in Scripture and be baptized in an apostolic assembly.
Yes, John 8:24, but if a trinitarian can't explain the oneness, but says, "I believe JESUS is GOD, and I want to be baptized in JESUS' name because I see it in the Scriptures." Should we baptize them? Are they saved?

yes
We see through a glass darkly. I have heard some people who were proclammed trinitarians proclaim a better definition of the oneness of God then oneness people.

No real problem exists over the use of "The Name" in everthing else done in the Church. Why then should there exist great controversy over the use of the "The Name of the Godhead" in water baptism?

I don't know if you thought I am atrinitarian or not.In any case I believe in Baptism in Jesus name and being filled with the Holy Ghost [Speaking in tounges],However I believe Salvation begins in the Heart a change in heart gets one to the point of baptism and infilling of the Spirit.

Alex, I firmly believe in the Water/Spirit doctrine. but I think there is seperation between what one must believe and what one must do to appropreate the gift of salvation.
Jesus said that we must believe that He is the Christ. (Jn 8:24, Ro 10:9)
Everything starts with the belief in the Gospel message of the death, buriel and resurection of Jesus Christ.
But we all (trinitarian and OP alike) believe that something must be done to appropreate the gift of salvation. For a baptist or a PCI OP, you believe you must repent.
W/S people like us believe that one must be Repent, be Baptized in Jesus name and recieve the Holy Ghost.
So my answer is one must believe that Jesus is THE Christ. and all who beleive this must experience Acts 2:38 to be saved.
Any PCI believer who has experienced Acts 2:38 is as saved as I am. period. I would say the same for any trinitarian.

The New Birth experience is where someone enters the Kingdom of God. At that point they are "initially" saved. However, they must continue on to know the Lord, and endure to the end (their death or His coming) to have "well done" stated to them. Anything less than the finish line is not a win.

I didn't know what trinity or oneness was when I was baptized.
When a person is filled with the Holy Ghost God will reveal Himself to them thru His Word...
and sometimes people who are prayful come to the realization before they are filled with the Holy Ghost...
I think it depends then on whose voice they will listen to after revelation....there are many false voices who preach a doctrine not in the Word of God...
and there are those who preach and teach Truth...
You don't have to understand God to recieve Him just believe, repent, and be baptized in Jesus Name and recieve the Holy Ghost into your life and follow Him...
