Ontological Discussion of the Existence of God
Ok, this is a thread where I would like people to discuss arguments for and against the existence of God, through a philosophical/scientific stand point.
If you don't have anything productive to say go find a thread about Pastor Joe Hunt or something.
First my argument for the existence of God stems from (but is not dictated solely by) the prime mover argument. Science not only says that there needs to be an ultimate cause of existence but that this ultimate cause must also be created. The argument creates a paradox but it's easy to see that the existence of a God might be evident simply by the existence of man. Thus there needs to be some external cause for humanity or life in general.
Now, my argument against the existence of God is on the premise of my argument for. How can there be an ultimate cause or creator outside of the universe in an all inclusive universe?
