What is the difference between gay marriage and civil unions? I don't understand what all the fuss is about. What is it that gays want, that they don't already have?
They want to put it in the faces of traditional marriage advocates.

Well, here in AR since the past election of Nov. 4th, only a family can adopt or provide foster care.
I believe part of the reason they want to be married is so that they can have parental rights.

No real problem exists over the use of "The Name" in everthing else done in the Church. Why then should there exist great controversy over the use of the "The Name of the Godhead" in water baptism?

Frankly, Government should have no say regarding who someone chooses to marry. That's a private choice between adults. I think the Government should simply treat all "unions" equally under the Law. However, churches should be free to denounce, refuse to recognize, and even decline from performing some unions.

Very true.
As I see it, the HomoNazi agenda is more than just a pseudo-"civil rights" matter by gays. This issue has its origins in the spiritual realm, not the natural.
It is just another attempt by the Satan to overturn and/or undermine God's plan and design for mankind in general, and for the family in particular.

They want the sacremental and societal stamp of approval that comes with the term "marriage".
Exactly. If it was about equal rights under the law, then the passage of Prop 8 in California would not have mattered. They already have equal rights there in the form of civil unions.
