Democrats Don't Practice What They Preach

Am I the only one disturbed that the oh so compassionate bleeding heart liberal Democrats seem to only be generous and compassionate with others money?

Recent legal election disclosures have shown that despite earning millions of dollars over the last ten years the Democrat Vice Presidential canidate Joe Biden only gave around $ 3,600 total to charity over that ten years!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Democrats Don't Practice What They Preach

I heard that McCain says he is against abortion but has voted FOR abortion situations perhaps as much as Obama. Talk about not practicing what you preach. Folks, politicians are all liars. lol.

Care to back up your accusation with some facts? I challenge you to find one instance of McCain supporting partial birth abortion or opposing legislation to protect infants who survive an abortion.

He voted for late term abortion 4 times.

Quote:
He [McCain] has said laws prohibiting abortion should have exceptions for rape, incest, and the life—though not necessarily the health—of the mother, and he voted in 2007 to increase federal funding for embryonic stem cell research

McCain and Obama Largely Avoid Abortion, Gay Marriage

So, a few carefully worded equivocations aside, why all the tip-toeing around? There is at least one easy answer. "Both Obama and McCain have said they want to reach out to the middle," says Brian Schaffner, a professor of political science at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. "Abortion's not something you talk about when you're trying to win the center."

McCain mentioned concern for the mother's health and advocated abortion in those cases.

Re: Democrats Don't Practice What They Preach

mfblume,

Those exceptions are held by many anti abortion folks. Not everybody in the anti abortion camp thinks in a monolithic fashion with all of the exact same viewpoints.

To try and equate McCains votes and views on abortion with Obama's just doesn't hold water. There is clearly a difference. Obama indicated that if his daughters got pregnent they would have an abortion because he did not want them to be "punished" (having the child) by a "mistake". I heard that with my own ears and saw it with my own eyes straight from his mouth.

Re: Democrats Don't Practice What They Preach

Neither side practices what they preach and the ability for democrats to only see these failures in republicans and vice versa keeps each side talking as if their own side didn't do the same thing.
