Can A Real Believer Support Abortion Rights?
Can an Apostolic support abortion rights? If not, should they support candidate who support abortion rights?
Personally, I find it hard pressed to have received new life in Christ, and allow someone to have the choice to end life before it even comes to birth from the womb.

I would have a problem supporting a candidate or party which promotes abortion, but I know of Christians who would vote Democrat no matter what. I don't understand it but I can't judge a brother or sister over that.

Re: Can A Real Believer Support Abortion Rights?
I look at it like this.... If my wife were to be pregnant and experience some difficulty and the doctor recommended an abortion as an option to preserve her life or health....I'd much rather that choice be entirely ours than the Government's. The Government doesn't really care about my wife, her condition, or even the life of our child. The issue is just a political hot button issue to get votes.
Sorry...I don't believe an abortion is an acceptable thing to do in the majority of cases....but I still think it's best to leave that choice in the hands of individuals than the government. People will answer to God for their choices.

Re: Can A Real Believer Support Abortion Rights?
Herein lies the problem with this scenario. We think that we have the right to choose life or death for something God has granted. We believe we can play the final judge and say that if the life of the mother is in danger, then it is acceptable to commit murder. This is what abortion is.
The doctors can be wrong and have been proven to be wrong numerous times. Life can never be sacrificed for life, especially if that life is that of an innocent unborn. God makes no mistakes.

Imagine replacing one word in your last paragraph and see how it sounds.

Aquila, the U.S., State, and local governments are required to defend the rights of equal protection under the law to ALL Citizens. If a store clerk is murdered, doesn't his/her murderer deserve to be punished by the Gov't? If so, why? He was just making a private choice to end a life he didn't want, right? Are the unborn Citizens? Are they humans? I believe they are. If you disagree, then why would abortion be unacceptable in most cases?

I'm not sure even about abortion to save the mothers life. It's not like were talking about a cancer.

That's right. It is not a blob of tissue. It is a life, and no man has the right to take the life of an innocent.

Is the fetus, in the mother's womb, before taking it's first breath, a living soul?
