Ray Boltz (born 1953 in Muncie, Indiana) is a contemporary Christian music singer-songwriter, whose songs often tell stories of faith and inspiration. He was raised by his parents William and Ruth Boltz. He is currently retired from the music industry and is neither scheduling dates nor recording. On September 12, 2008, he came out to the Washington Blade as a homosexual who struggled for years with accepting his sexuality.[1]
Cant say I'm shocked though. In the Christian music industry, there are a lot of skeletons hidden in closets.

Daniel 12:3 And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars for ever.
One reason Boltz decided to come out now might be because he's performing Sunday at Jesus Metropolitan Community Church in Indianapolis, and then next Sunday, Sept. 21, at the Metropolitan Community Church of Washington, D.C. Both congregations are a part of a denomination that embraces the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) community.
Boltz is perhaps best known for his song "Thank You," about a dream in which a Christian thanks the Sunday school teacher who led him to Jesus. It was the GMA song of the year in 1990. Other Boltz hits include "Watch the Lamb," "The Anchor Holds," and "I Pledge Allegiance to the Lamb."
"Thank You" was one of my favorite songs, actually.

Just in the Christian music industry?
I'd have to say that the atmosphere in Christianity today is such that there are a lot of skeletons hidden in closets throughout the Church.

God did it for us. Out of sheer generosity he put us in right standing with himself. A pure gift. He got us out of the mess we're in and restored us to where he always wanted us to be. And he did it by means of Jesus Christ. ~Romans 3:24 from The Message
Skeletons are one thing...but to be a dancing skeleton that's another..
He is not hiding his sinful lifestyle but has embraced it....
And I think skeletons hidden in closets are far more destructive and damaging than skeletons that are embraced. It's two extremes, two sides of the same coin. Sometimes one has to swing as a pendulum to find the middle ground, the place where healing and wholeness are.

Considering that this info was on Wikipedia, where people can just say what they want without facts, are we sure this info is true?
Like an idiot I had no idea what The Washington Blade is. To verify the stroy I went to Google and looked up their site and yes it is there. Long article on him coming out to his family and obvisouly now to the world.
I think this is their way of backsliding. They fought the fight for a long time and gave up. They seal the deal by accepting the homosexuality as something God ordained and not to be repented of.
