Tulane - Move-in Day.

... it came 8 days early for my kid since she had to be there for band camp. I'm glad because general move-in day is August 23rd and it will be a madhouse ... especially if New Orleans gets a bunch of rain from the remnant of Tropical Storm Fay.

Here's a few pictures.

I hope this dorm room looks as neat around Christmastime ...

One at LSU ... one at Tulane.

More dorm room. Her roommate hasn't arrived yet so right now it's pretty roomy.

Awesome, Tim!!! Our children grow up SO fast! I now have none in High School and one in college. Didn't we just change their diapers a moment ago?

Re: Tulane - Move-in Day.

I can remember the day I moved into my first dorm, like it was yesterday. I can also remember the lonely yet excited feeling of anticipation when my family left and I sat on that bed all alone. I made some good friends that year. I know your daughter will be fine- Thanks for sharing.

One kid with a better school and the other with a better team. Not bad!

Re: Tulane - Move-in Day.

Tim

Our daughters dorm room looked like that for about the first day, a week later it looked like a tornado went through, the funny thing was she said she picked things up, sense she knew we were coming....

I have a pic of our daughter sitting in her dorm, she looks so young, you can see the emotions going through her mind, scared but excited to be getting on with her life. She just wenr back last week for her second year, it felt good to hear her say, I feel back at home, she moving on as should be. Thanks for sharing, lovely young lady...

Re: Tulane - Move-in Day.

Thanks for posting these pictures, Tim. My son is moving in to his dorm room on Saturday. I don't get to go down with them because I have to stay here with my other son who is in the High School Band. We have our Corn Festival on Saturday here in our town. That involves a huge parade (150+ units this year and it's one of the smallest yet!). After the parade, Keith has to work with the Band parking cars to raise money for their trips. So one parent needs to stay here. Walt and a couple of friends are taking Justin down to get him moved in. That's probably best anyway. You know how us mom's are.
