Streaming Preaching

I have gone to a number of sites where there are sermons available to hear.
More often then not, they are in Q/T or Real Player streaming format.
I would like to be able to download it as an MP3 file or just burn it to a disk to listen to while I am in the car in traffic or waiting on the Wife Unit or kids.

Antone know how this can be accomplished?

Re: Streaming Preaching

Do you have the newest version of real player? If so it has a record button at the bottom you can use unless they have it blocked from recording... and also if its a youtube or anything it should have a little tab that comes up and says download this video... you click it and walla!!! Hope thats a little help

Brother, I think the new Real Player will allow you to convert audio files to MP3 format. BTW, can you send me a list of those sites? Thanks.

There are ways. Use a video capture device to capture stuff online. If it is at youtube you can go to a website to capture and turn it into just about anything you want

also sometimes they are not really streaming but use HTTP streaming. In that case you can sometimes right click and save as.

I am presently setting up a podcast on our church site. It needed to be in MP3 and I thought this was going to be a big deal, but it was absolutely easy.

In Windows Media player (I have Vista version) there is a format button and you can choose what format. The items we want to upload we simply convert to MP3, I would imagine you could do the same.
