Saddleback to conduct McCain/Obama debate @ Church

Rick Warren's Saddleback Church in California will be the scene of an election forum next month involving both Barack Obama and John McCain.


In a press release, Warren says the August 16 event will be " an unprecedented opportunity for America to hear both men back-to-back on the same platform." Warren, who will be the only person allowed to question Obama and McCain during the two-hour event, says he will deal with issues that Americans care deeply about, including faith, values, character, and leadership. The press release from Warren did not indicate whether he would press the candidates on key matters of doctrine such as whether they believe Jesus is the only way of salvation. Obama, in particular, has made it clear that although he believes in Jesus, he does not believe that Jesus is the only way of salvation. Obama has also referred to Bible passages that speak of the sin of homosexuality as being outdated.

Concerning Mangun and Tenney...they are proponents of the light doctrine. Mangun would be nothing if it wasn't for him preaching his mommas sermons. Tenney is reprobate concerning the faith. Classic answers from someone who doesn't know what they're talking about. Lol, I'd love to see what would happen if you made an accusation against someone in a court of law, and when asked for your proof, you tell the judge, "Go research for yourself".
