She fell at church tonight and broke her upper arm in a few places. She is going to be 82 and has been battling alzhiemer's the last several years. They believe it is broken in 2 or 3 places and needs surgery. They have her scheduled for tomorrow. Also remember my sisters in prayer. They are the ones who are dealing with all of this.
They think they will be putting her in a nursing home for a few days or weeks for some rehab.
Her name is Ethel Jacks.
my mom had her surgery today and things went very well. Better than expected. The doctor expected it to take 4 to 6 hours and then recovery. Well the surgery and recovery were all less than 4 hours. She did have 4 breaks in her arm.

That is good news. I will pray for her continued strength and healing. What a blessing to live to be 82 and still make it to the House of God.
Not just does she make it to church she was running around the church when she lost her balance. This is the first time that has happened. My sister is going to have to really crack down on her about running around the church. You live to be 82 and have Alzhiemer's and you don't need to run any more. They are now saying that the rehab will probably only be 3 to 4 weeks where before they had said that it would be maybe 3 to 6 months.
The meds they give her make her bones more brittle and then to stumble and fall. Poor sweetheart. I miss her. I just wish she knew me evertime she talks to me.
