Needing Prayer Again!
After not going to a Dr. for about five years other than my Ortho guy for the calcified tendon in my shoulder the last several weeks have been crazy.
Two weeks ago in the emergency room with those piercing pains in the center of my brain. CT turned out ok and they stopped after Sunday. No medication taken (never took the pain pills given)
Now just before I am about to go out of town for most most next week on a business trip that will involve a lot of walking at airports, offices, etc I am in excruciating pain and can't walk.
To make a long story short I have a foot problem that started developing a few days ago and is either bad or very bad.
About 12 years ago I almost had to have a finger amputated because of RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy). After months of painful physical therapy the finger was saved.
I was told at the time that for the rest of my life I would be susceptible to it ocurring again on other fingers or my toes. For 12 years I have been blessed and even though I have injured my fingers and toes various times RSD never developed.
Now I have the symptomns in all of the toes of my left foot and cannot put any pressure on them. The pain is horrible although I have resisted taking the pain pills up to now.
I went to an urgent care center this morning after being up all night (these things never seem to happen on a weekday). The Dr. wants me to see a podiatrist or ortho foot buy ASAP but none are open on a Saturday. I have been given an anti inflamnatory and told to stay off my feet today and tomorrow. If I am not better tomorrow he wants me to go to the hospital emergency room where they can get an on call specialist to look at it. The reason is that with RSD you have to act fast to have a chance of preventing amputation.
I really like the way my toes help me balance and walk and don't want to lose them.
I also have the most important business trip of my career this year starting on Tuesday and I need to not only be on it but not in horrible pain.
Please help me pray for God's touch. It is killing me to be spending my weekend in the recliner when I wanted to fix the weed eater, go swimming, and grill a steak!!!

Re: Needing Prayer Again!
Thanks everybody. I am so bummed out about spending my weekend sitting in a recliner.
Summer weekends are not supposed to be like this.
Oh, I did get to fulfill a secret desire this morning. Leaving the Dr.'s I had to go to Wal Mart to get my prescription filled. They said it was going to take twenty or thirty minutes and I was in agony trying to walk so I got in one of those nifty electric chair / shopping carts that you see handicapped and obese people in and scooted all over the store until my prescription was ready. Particularly fun running down kids in the toy section and old ladie in the arts and crafts!!!
