July4, 2008 Fireworks!

This has been an awesome weekend here in Rowlett. At the Pro Bass Shop across Lake Ray Hubbard they have been having fireworks every night. I can sit in mt lazyboy recliner and watch them from my window. They are beautiful. There is a fair with a ferris wheel and everything for the week. I will be celebrating INDEPENDENCE all week long.

What is going on in your neighborhood?

Cool! You are indeed in the perfect location for fireworks! My old nannys son lives in the apartments next door to Bass Pro and they called me and said something about bringing the kids over to see them, just dont have the time this week

I think we are doing simple this yr. Throw down some lawn chairs here by Firewheel on the 4th and then our church is having an all day thing on Sunday that the kids have to work at so we will be there for that (concessions there is their fundraiser for their Paris trip) and since I am having another surgery tomorrow I think thats as far as we will push it. It will still be nice just not the big plans we usually have.

We are under a "burn ban" because of the drought.

Wew'll be in Duluth MN on the 4th, watching the fireworks over the Lake Superior.

Then on to Canada on the 5th to catch us some Walleyes and Smallmouth ;-)

We are heading to California for the the fourth. Taking the boys to the beach and for my wife and I some R&R. We are staying a little north of Santa Barbara, near Santa Ynez.

Well for some reason we seem to have a lot of kids, so it will be a nice time. Too hot to grill probably, but we will have some good eats. All the grandbabies playing in the pool. Our volunteer fire dept. does the fireworks in town which we can't see anymore from our house, because we have way too many trees. I hate pine trees now. But some neighbors down the road usually put on a pretty good show, so we still enjoy free fireworks and the older grandkids do the sparklers.
