Mat 27:51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
Mat 27:52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
Mat 27:53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
Could you elaborate on that last statement?

Yes it tells us exactly where they went. To Heaven? No. They went into the holy city. After performing this servive in the will of God they went back to sleep. How do we know this?
14: That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
15: Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and
only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
16:
Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
1 Tim. 6:14-16
Paul was an Apostle. He knew the truth. He said
ONLY JESUS CHRIST is immortal. If these who rose after his resurrection were still living
THEY WOULD BE IMMORTAL.
Let us treat the word
ONLY just like we treat it when we are talking about God being the
ONLY God. When we understand the meaning of
ONLY we will understand the doctrine of the resurrection.
There are no immortals at present EXCEPT JESUS.
