Margies3, How About A Report
Margie,
You may have given this somewhere, but since I haven't seen it, and it has been quite a while, I thought I would ask.
Can you give us a report on how Walt is doing?

Re: Margies3, How About A Report
Yep, 2 years ago May 13th! Isn't God good!!
Walt's doing good. He's slowed down quite a bit, limps a little and his feet hurt alot of the time. If you remember tho, his feet were both completely black from lack of circulation to them. God restored circulation to his left foot and to most of his right foot. But he still ended up having to have his toes amputated on right foot at mid-tarsel.
But honestly, if that's the worst thing that came out of this, we have no complaints at all.
There are times when Walt's brain seems to me to have slowed a bit. He is able to work as a Civil Engineer tho and still pull that off, so it's not too bad. He just does alot of the repeating questions kind of things that people typically do when they get much older. He is back running the sound system at our church and the computerized sound equipment and light equipment at our high school. So I guess it's ok
Two years ago I didn't know if Walt would even be here for our oldest son's graduation. He got to attend that last Saturday. I am sooooo grateful for that. And I'm praying all the time that he will still be with us to celebrate our youngest son's graduation in 4 years. Every day that God gives us is a wonderful gift tho. I will never be able to thank Him enough or give Him enough honor and glory.
Thanks for asking. And thank you all for having been there with us through the whole horrible time. Thanks for sharing the bad times and then thanks for rejoicing with us when God brought us out on the other side. You have all been great friends to me and I appreciate each and every one of you.

Great to hear!
This is really as much your victory and miracle as it is Walt's!

Re: Margies3, How About A Report
By the way, here is a recent picture of Walt and Justin. It was taken at Justin's graduation from Penta. It's not a great picture, but since it's got 2 of my favorite fellas in it, I thought I'd share it with you.........

Re: Margies3, How About A Report
Margie, my dad had a major stroke at age 70 in 2000. The doctors didn't know if he would ever talk, walk, take care of his own needs, etc. I prayed for God to give him 15 more years, which seemed impossible at the time. Today he is almost 79 and going strong; just slowed down a lot from before the stroke. God is bigger than any doctor's report. We are believing for Walt to have a long and prosperous life!!!!!

Thank you, Sherri.
When this happened with Walt, I asked to just let him stay with us long enough to get our boys raised. I told Walt this the other day. And then I told him, "You do understand tho, that when Keith is grown up, at that point I will have to go back to God and try to renegotiate. I plan to ask Him for a lot more years at that point." I say that with a bit of a chuckle, but in all honesty, I mean every word of it.
