Trust for new climbers

By the time we arrived in Campo Grande we were so tired...pastor Hugo and another church brother was waiting for us at the airport he had driven all night as he had been in another part of brazil taking care of mission business. We all looked like one tired bunch but there was no time to pet the flesh. We were on the master’s business sand it requires haste…
Most all our life we have stayed with our people sometimes in the most unbelievable places…in later years due to our failing health our people usually suggest we try to fine some cheap bed and breakfast as many places do not even have good water or a bed to offer. We had called ahead to tell them we were coming without any money and we would just sleep wherever. One thing about our people they know if we tell them we have no money it is really because we have no money.
Pastor Hugo though tears told us someone had paid him some money for something and he had found us a tiny room at least he could put us there for two days…it was so cold we were coming from the hot northeast and in the deep southern part of Brazil it is our coldest month.
Of course the tiny room had no heat,, the mattress was paper thin and worn and very dirty the bed might have been varnished at one time but it must have been long years ago. The corners of the walls had little bugs clinging to them. I guess they were cold too. There was a well worn sheet and two old pillows but to me I could not have been happier if it had been some fancy hotel. Out of their money they wanted us to have the best they could offer for two days from here I do not know where they will put us.
We quickly left our suit cases and went straight to pastor Manuel’s home for a quick meal and then on to the church to the first service. In a little while the main pastor came to me and said we want you to be our mail speaker tonight. Oh no was my reply there are others more qualified than me…Missionary, we want to hear you, the bishop will speak tomorrow night…
I wondered why they would want me but the founding family of that church I won to the Lord when Raul jr was just a baby and many years later they had moved to this area of Brazil and I guess I am a legend among these people.
I asked Pastor Hugo if he could take me early to the little room so I could pray to see what God would speak to the people…
The Lord spoke to me to speak about eternity…the long home of the soul. I told no one what I was going to speak about but every song, even a little skit the young people performed was on this subject. I walked to the pulpit knowing I had heard from God. I read my scriptures and told them about people that had made wrong choices in life and the consequences…the alter filled with people weeping and making things right with God.
No buildings are heated, no one has heaters and it was so cold however the warmth of the lord engulfed us as we rejoiced with the precious people.
After service we went back to the main pastor’s house for a meal and visited some with them and around 2 in the morning they took us to our little room. The hotel of course (not that kind) had no heat but someone loaned us a warmer blanket and I put our coats on the bed for warmth and we faded to sleep. Being tired is usually your best friend! Your next best friend is hunger!
I got up early as my phone was ringing so begin to pray. The presence of the Lord came so sweet. Brother Alvear woke up telling me I amaze him…Can you imagine that? We have been married 37 years but he has never got used to the fact that “things” mean nothing to me…so I was telling the Lord how blessed we were to have this little room for two days…I really meant it. I am so blessed…richly blessed to be with the people I love so much.
What will we do the rest of our journey, where will we sleep, what we will eat…I don’t know but I know He will provide. My dear fellow traveller on life's journey rest assured He knows the well well...No curve takes Him unprepared.
One of my boys, said mother why don’t you ask someone to help you all on the trip and I said I did…I asked my best friend, the Lord…
I trust in His guidance and provision. We pray more when we trust Him on a daily basis for what we will eat and drink and where we will sleep.
I have found a place close by to get on the net so I will let you know how God provides for us.

If you are considering doing something for God may I encourage you to walk in trust…

Re: Trust for new climbers

You see those folks understand what Americans have forgotten... they know that The Alvears are ANGELS to them... When they see the Alvears they see them as the ANGELS OF GOD.....

When scriptures talk about "Entertaining Angels unaware" It is not speaking of an Angel from heaven showing up as much as it is... being unaware of whom your entertaining and failing to recognize that the carriers of the God are the ANGELS unto the CHURCHES

The Angel is the MESSENGER

Re: Trust for new climbers

The seminar was beautiful. Tonight we have a housemeeting...during the day we make visits.
Tomorrow we have another special service at the church and Thursay we head out to a city called Mundo \nove it is 500 kil. from here and then to Paraguay. We had planned to go earlier to Paraguay but the pastor suggested we stay a few more days here as the saints here are feeding us and and the work is much smaller towards Paraguay. The people here are so glad we are here with them...we have had so many Bible stdies with them.
Tomorrow I speak to the ladies again. My subject..Sarah called him lord....
Now would you all like my notes???? I don´t really think some would enjoy it...ha...love you folks.
I have rented 30 minutes of internet service to ck my e mails and read some on the beloved forum. Some houses we visit have telephones and I can ck my e mail but cannot stay on it long. Pray for us as we travel the roads for Jesus.
