Soldier from my church died in Iraq this week

A boy who was raised in my church just died in the war in Iraq. He was 25.

when he was 18 he went into the army and we've never seen him since. He was serving his 5th term. He wanted to stay in the battle. I guess some soldiers want to.

His father died when he was about 12. he was a Jewel of a man! A horse kicked him in the heart .

anyhow, his funeral will be at our church monday or tuesday. our choir is going to sing. A general from Iraq is suppose to be coming and possibly our Governor.

Keep his mother in your prayers

I am so sorry to hear this. If you see his mom and family please let them know that a lot of people they don't even know are praying for them and appreciate her sons service to his country.

If it were not for the willing sacrifice of these young men, their willingness to risk their lives, our country would not have survived and had its interests protected as long as it has.

Thanks I will. I know that especially you with a son that served, would be appreciative ( as well as others too)

His humvee(sp?) hit a road bomb and exploded so we don't know if it's going to be an open coffin or not.

I am so very sadden to hear this news. I am a retired U. S. Army veteran of almost 21 years of service. It is a privilege to give honor and respect to such a brave and courageous soldier...

...May God bless and comfort his family and give them strength for the difficult days ahead...in His holy Name...
