I'm about 90 minutes north of Portsmouth. and 20 minutes south of Athens, home of Ohio University. As long has your son stays out of West Virginia and Kentucky, he'll be fine.

The other school he's looking into very seriously is in Flint, Michigan. That's much closer for us.
