Dear Homeland Friends And Supporters
Greetings In The Precious Name Of Jesus!
A Few Days Ago We Were Getting Ready To Leave Our Motel Room In One Of The Cities We Were Ministering At When All Of A Sudden I Saw My Little Boy Alone Hiding Behind The Bed And He Was Praying. He Did Not Notice I Was Looking. I Could Hear Him Say “jesus Help My Mommy, And Daddy.” This Is A Touching Story, And I Am Having To Wipe Away The Tears Away As Well. Jesus Said In His Word “suffer The Little Children” Logans Prayer Defintely Was Going Up Before The Lord As The Fresh Aroma On A Springtime Morning. His Prayers Were Not In Vain.
The Thompson Family Unfortunatley Had To Go Down A Road We Have Never Had To Travel Down Before. Upon Being In The States For About Three Weeks We Received The Shocking News On The Morning Of March 2nd That My Father-in-law Had Passed Away. My Wife Took It Very Hard As Well As Myself. Her Along With Myself Were Very Close To Him. The Decision Was To Be Made Whether We Would Go Back To Brasil To See The Family Or Stay Here In The Usa. The Obligations And Missionary Services Beckoned Us, And We Made Our Decision To Stay. If We Would Have Went Back To Brasil We Would Not Have Made It In Time For The Viewing Nor The Funeral, Because In Brasil The Person Is Buried Within 24 Hours Or Less. We Want To Say How Much We Appreciate All Of The Cards, Phone Calls, Letters, Etc. It Has Meant So Much. We Know It Is Impossible To Carry Someones Burden, Or Pain But It Is So Good To Know That There Is Someone Sharing It With You In Prayer. We Desire Your Prayers As We Face These Painful Moments Of Our Lives.
We Do Rejoice In The Fact That The Churches Are Doing Well In Our Absence. We Have Received The News Of New People Coming To The Lord, Miraculous Healings, And Powerful Services. We Want To Say That We Appreciate Bro. & Sis. Alvear And Their Group That Just Recently Visited One Of Our Daughter Works Called Boca Da Mata For A Special Rally. It Was Truly A Blessing And An Honor For Them To Have Been In Service With The Saints Of God Of This Assembly.
We Have Also Received Good Words From Each And Every One Of The Daughter Works. Pastor Jose Cicero From Our Daughter Work Called Luziapolis Has Communcated With Us Regarding A Group Of New People That He Has Won In A Neighboring Village, And How They Desire To Be In The House Of The Lord In His City. So He Has Started Having Service In This Community About 30 Minutes Away. We Are Praying That The Lord Would Supply Him Some Kind Of Transportation For Him To Be More Of An Impact In His Area. He Does Not Have Very Good Health, And Just Came Through A Surgery. I Was Looking At A Little Chevy Car Before I Came To The States, And We Could Purchase One For Him For Around 2300 Dollars. “the Bible Says We Have Not Because We Ask Not.” So If Anyone Would Feel On Your Heart To Help In This Project In Anyway Your Love Offering Can Be Sent To Our Stateside Address. Please Make Sure You Make A Note Of It On The Check Or Elsewhere. Thank You For Your Concern. We Just Recently Made Pastor Cicero A Regional Pastor And He Is Repsonsible For Three Churches.
We Ask Each And Every One Of You To Please Help Us Pray, For We Have Our Northeastern Brasil Convention Coming Up The First Week Of May That Is Held In The City Of Maceio Where Brother And Sister Alvear Reside And Have The Headquarters Church, And We Are Looking Forward To The Outpouring Of The Holyghost In Our Midst. We Have Hundreds Of Native Brazilians Interceding For This Meeting. Their Will Be Groups From Our State As Well As Other States From Northeastern Brasil That Will Come Together For This Wonderful Time Of Fellowship, And Awesome Services.
We Ask Every One Of You To Remember Brasil In Your Prayers, It Is Such A Large Country That Is Still Predominant Roman Catholic, And Bound In The Chains Of Tradition, Culture, And Idolatry. It Is Not Only A Choice, But An Obligation To Take This Gospel To The Ears, And Hearts Of Those That Have Never Heard It. Let Us Work While It Is Yet Day, Let Us Look Upon The Fields, Let Us Go Into The Highways, And Biways And Compel Them To Come In. Let Us Challenge Ourselves To Let God Do A Work Through Us In These Last Days. For Him To Work, He Must Increase, And We Have To Decrease. We Are Caught Up In A Fast-paced World, And It Is So Easy To Forget The Purpose We Are Here For, But As I Close This Letter I Ask Each Young Person, Man Of God, Woman Of God, And Child Of God To Look Upon Your City, Community, And Neighborhood And Repeat The Words Of David “ Is Their Not A Cause?”
We Want To Say Thank You So Much To Those That Have Felt In Your Heart To Financially Support The Work Of The Lord In Brasil You May Be A Long Time Supporter Or A Short Time Supporter, We Just Want You To Know How Important Your Prayers And Monthly Support Is To Us.
