Whats the average price of a ministers Home
I believe this is Benards home ,and if not ,I still know many Pastors whose homes are well above the price of most members in thier churches.
Just wondering not pointing.
Could a church culture be leading some in the wrong direction ?

I don't think there is a certain price a ministers home should be , the question is what can they afford. There are some preachers who are not good money managers , Two preachers could make the same amount of money, one has no credit card debt and chooses to spend his money on a beautiful home.
I know of a Pastor who has always lived in an awesome home but his aassistant made just as muich as he did but wasn't a good money manager and to this day rents at the age of 75.

Do you know who paid for the house?
Was it paid for from the local church?
Book royalties?
Family money (His or his wifes)?
A generous building contractor who wanted to bless the pastor?
Wise investments?
"Church culture" is the vehicle by which thousands hear the gospel every week?

Re: Whats the average price of a ministers Home
A Pastor's home is an extension of their ministry- imo- They use their home to entertain, counsel, and many times house visitors. Their home should be reflective of what they can afford and the congregation they pastor.

Who cares?
Threads like these just annoy me. People are so concerned that pastors and ministers don't have anything "too" nice. *sigh*
Why don't you go spend your own extra money and time on charity or community service and then come back and talk about it?

I think when a church or it's members don't have nice facilities they are also criticized for that.
If the ministry is honest and everyone is prospering, I think he should prosper also.
After all, the Bible says that God "enlarged" Abraham's tent. He blessed Job, Joseph, King David, etc.

If you have a nice home you stole from the church...if you have nothing you are not blessed! Hard to beat talk....
I agree with Sandra...some know how to manage and some do not...

I don't think it is anyone's business. I want my pastor to have the best home he can afford!

I think $20,000 should be plenty. U can get a nice trailer for that i think.
