Is Doctrine Evil?

Some say it doesn't matter if a person is Oneness or Trintarian, one-stepper, three-stepper or side-stepper, baptized in titles or in Jesus' name.

Does doctrine even matter any longer?

Is doctrine an evil that must be purged?

Re: Is Doctrine Evil?

No Doctrine it'self is not evil... but much of the exclusivity people attach to pet doctrines is not of a Christlike Spirit.

Nothing wrong with fine tuning our understanding of the Word. But so many then insist their tuner is of God and all others are dancing to the devil's tune.

We can, and should, debate, discuss, dispute, disagree, and at times yes - even divide. But we should show a little maturity and acknowledge our own views are subject to flaw and human interpretation.

I am a firm believer in the Old Paths

Articles on such subjects as "The New Birth," will be accepted, whether they teach that the new birth takes place before baptism in water and Spirit, or that the new birth consists of baptism of water and Spirit. - THE PENTECOSTAL HERALD Dec. 1945

"It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves
