None of the above will happen.
Gas is reduced as refinerys dwindle stocks of "winter blend" fuel and replace it with oxygenated or ethanol blends for summer use. This is thought to reduce the damage to ozone. It is also required since the additive MTBE is no longer added to gasoline.
