There is a statement in the UPC law allowing folks to watch videos that are christian in nature, that are educational, etc., I don't know the exact wording.
There are movies out there that are family oriented. I wonder why the same admonition or allowance shouldn't be allowed in theaters, as in...you may attend movies in theaters if they are Christian in nature, inspirational, etc.
I know for a fact...a FACT that there are UPC ministers out there, not to mention sunday school teachers, board members and the general constituency who go out and rent videos that have nothing to do with inspiration, family values, etc. So what, they can watch them outside the evil eye of the judgemental constituency?
I suppose it is assumed that we cannot control ourselves so we need the law to do it...at least when we think when people are watching us.
