Christmas Eve Trip - New Orleans and Baton Rouge - Pics

My daughter and I took a trip today to New Orleans to look over the Tulane campus. On the way, we stopped by Mike the Tiger's cage across the street from Tiger Stadium on the LSU campus in Baton Rouge.

Here are a few pics of Mike VI. He's a two year old Siberian-Bengal tiger mix so he's huge already. He's also quite active and playful since he's only two years old - the equivalent of a ten year old boy. His predecessor, Mike V, died at 17 so he was not very active in his sunset years.

I'm surprised Mike enjoyed swimming today - it was 35 degrees out. I wouldn't be surpirsed if his 3 million dollar habitat includes a heated pool.

Darla standing at the old Tilton Library on Tulane University's breathtakingly beautiful and historic campus.

Uh ... no.

It was NOT named after Robert Tilton.

This next was a little blurry; batteries on the digital must have been week.

Tulane Stadium, 82,000 capacity, used to stand behind where Darla is standing.

It was torn down in 1974 and the next year the Saints and Tulane started playing in the Superdome.
