Are there really any conservatives in California?

Will Californians Face Social Chaos Imposed by Politicians?
By Jim Kouri

“I shudder to think how millions of California children will be led astray, how
marriage will be destroyed, and how immorality will step on the neck of morality
if Arnold Schwarzenegger signs five anti-family bills into law. The ‘Terminator’
has less than two weeks to sign or veto very bad bills!” said Randy Thomasson,
president of Campaign for Children and Families.

Thomasson is disappointed with California’s Christian pastors and elders. In the
last five days, many individuals and several businesses have responded to CCF’s
action alert. However, to date, only one church has faxed in veto letters to the
liberal Schwarzenegger’s
office in Sacramento.

“This is not right, since the majority of pastors in California oppose sexual
indoctrination of
schoolchildren (SB 777 and AB 394), oppose demeaning marriage (AB 43 and AB
102), and oppose forcing the homosexual-bisexual-transsexual agenda on
businesses, organizations, and churches (AB 14),” said Thomasson.

“Distracted drivers cause car accidents; distracted pastors may accidentally
assist anti-family bills to be signed into law. The Governor will notice our
loud voice or our relative silence. The choice is [ours],” he added.

California’s leading pro-family organizations are urging Governor Arnold
Schwarzenegger to veto five bills they believe will harm children, marriage, and
religious freedom that are on his desk. And the Governor is taking notice — he’s
listed the five bills as among a dozen pieces of legislation upon which
telephone callers to his State Capitol office can “vote.”

Campaign for Children and Families (CCF), Capitol Resource Institute, California
Family Council, and Traditional Values Coalition are all urging vetoes of two
school sexual indoctrination bills (SB 777 and AB 394), two marriage-demeaning
bills (AB 102 and AB 43), and a bill that forces homosexuality, bisexuality, and
transsexuality upon businesses, churches, and nonprofit member organizations
such as the Boy Scouts (AB 14).

CCF is also calling upon the Governor to veto increased government funding of
abortions, abortion referrals, and condom and birth control pills for teenagers
without parental permission (SB 94).

Thomasson and the membership of Campaign for Children and Families are urging
Californians to call, fax, and email the Governor to urge him to use his veto
pen on behalf of the overwhelming number of pro-family voters that supported his
reelection.

Sample veto letters for voters to format and fax are posted at
www.savecalifornia.com.

“Young children will be led astray, the definition of marriage will be
irreparably harmed, and cherished freedom of conscience will be trampled if
Arnold Schwarzenegger signs these bad bills into law,” said Randy Thomasson.

“We’re urging the Governor to be consistent and veto the school indoctrination
bills like he did last year. He needs to do the right thing, not the wrong
thing. Governor, please save children from sexual indoctrination, protect
marriage from being counterfeited, and safeguard religious conscience against
the intolerant onslaught of sexual activists,” Thomasson stated.

Anti-family bills on Governor Schwarzenegger’s desk:

* SB 777: Homosexual, bisexual, and transsexual indoctrination of schoolchildren
via instruction, activities

* AB 394: Homosexual, bisexual, and transsexual indoctrination in schools via
“harassment” training

* AB 43: Licensing of same-sex “marriages” throughout California

* AB 102: Awarding public image of marriage to homosexual partners by giving
them married surnames

* AB 14: Infringing on the personal and religious consciences of business
owners, churches, and non-profits

* SB 94: $3.2 million in taxpayer dollars to pay for abortions and birth control
without parental permission

“Too many Americans find themselves without church leadership on social issues
that threaten the very foundation of western civilization,” said conservative
activist Michael Baker.

“More and more Americans are asking ‘Where are the pastors? Where is the moral
leadership?’” Baker added.

“Parents get very angry when politicians dream of sexually indoctrinating their
children in the classroom,” said Randy Thomasson.

“Kindergarteners and first-graders learning about transsexuality, bisexuality
and homosexuality from their teachers? This is not what parents want or children
need. Parents expect Governor Schwarzenegger to be consistent and veto these bad
bills like he did before,” he said in a CCF media release.

Mike Baker said he believes most church pastors and conservative political
leaders are cowards who fear the wrath of the mainstream news media and the
venom of liberal-left activists.

“Pastors especially have allowed themselves to be bullied by people who are no
better than heathens. Conservative politcians fear the bad press they would get
from the likes of the New York Times and Washington Post,” Baker said.

“Private citizens are doing the work that pastors and church leaders should be
doing in fighting the good fight on behalf of our most vulnerable citizens —
American children,” Baker added.

“Some pastors and ministers mistakenly believe that political involvement is
wrong. But what does the Bible say?” claims Deacon Charles Francis, a church
elder in New Jersey.

“Where shall I not love God? Not in the government? Where shall I not love my
neighbor? Not when the government harms my neighbor? How can houses of worship
look the other way when our government sexually indoctrinates the minds of six
million California schoolchildren? How can people of faith block their ears to
the cries of children when California taxpayers are forced to pay for more than
100,000 abortions every year? How can compassionate clergy be silent when our
government abuses religious
freedom?” asks the Deacon.

demonstrating what implementation of SB 777 and AB 394 would look like in
California public schools.

Are there really any conservatives in Calif?

Is it all talk?

Maybe they don't know what is going on because they have no TV?

Maybe they are too busy straining gnats with other Apostolics to care?

Thad, inquiring minds want to know!!!

I've always wondered why we as Christians don't get involved in things like this - we just sit by passively when collectively we could make a difference.

Do we separate ourselves from the world so far that we just feel it's okay to close our eyes to these things and think we couldn't make a difference?

Why is this?

But, those men should be more riled up about the law in their state than what they are dealing with right now. Why does it seem the mainstream Apostolic folks don't want to get involved?

James,

This is potentially the most harmful thing that could ever come our way in California. all the while we are devouring one another.

Thing is, once it starts here, for some reason it seems to spread like cancer to the rest of the U.S. So, EVERYONE ought to be concerned

I think i am going to print this off and give a copy to my pastor
thanks

The article really leaves out a lot, these bills would even have such unconscionable things as co-ed restrooms in High School, if a boy wanted to dress and act as a girl at school the teacher MUST address them as such, but CANNOT tell the parents, and must address as a boy in front of them.

While a child can be expelled for bringing an aspirin to school she can get an abortion without parents knowledge or consent.

Renda, they do anyways. most of our kids go to public school and tell us about kids male&male female&female openly making out
the teachers are afraid to touch it - lawsuits and all
