I received this in an e-mail this morning!

Worth watching!!!!
It's incredible that this 1948 cartoon has come this close to depicting our current day situation. It's worth your time.

EVERY PERSON IN THE USA SHOULD SEE THIS! JUST THINK, THIS WAS FORECAST 62 YEARS AGO!

What can a cartoon produced in 1948, teach us today, that's of any value? You'd be very surprised! Pay close attention! Keep in mind this was done in '1948'. Keep telling yourself that as you view it.

This is one of the best I have ever seen. This should be viewed by every AMERICAN.

Sister Falla, I live in the third world portion of the USA where we do not have Fast access internet, DSL, Cable and satellite is way too expensive for me to buy. So I am stuck with dialup, which does not pull up videos before it times out.

Could somebody give me a small synopsis of what the cartoon is about?

I have to say that it is a pity that people did not pay attention to the warning then. The problem is that we fell for socialism, and now farmers have are told by our government how much of any item to plant, instead of doing it themselves, because they have accepted subsidies for more the 60 years. Our businesses do not care about people because they have the government and unions looking to grab a peice of any profit they may make. There is no private property, because you have to lease it all from the government (you thought that you were paying a property tax, no you rent your land and house from your state and local governments). Because of the laws on the books concerning labor and what can and can not be done, factories and construction jobs are nearing nonexistance in the United States. Most of our politicians point at one another and avoid actually trying do away with any of the above which hinders all of us. Thus, that slimy salesman snuck in, won and now Mr. and Mrs. John Q. Public is enslaved to the government.
