Depends on who you ask. Ask the UCs, and we're all a bunch of backsliders. Ask the moderates, and it's 50-60%. Ask the liberals, and we're down to maybe 30%. Ask the "backsliders" and "compromisers" and the answer might be around 5%.

The "poison the well" tactics have been effectively used against "liberals" and "charismatics" in the past - I understand that...

However, it's important that our new visitors (thanks to the recent publicity) understand the truth of the matter.

The vast majority of the active members here are Oneness Pentecostal - yes involking the name at baptism and recieving the Holy Ghost evidenced with tongues.

We do allow open discussion on most topics including "sacred cows" so to speak.

If you are reading this thread due to the recent article which unnecessarily disparaged this site and mentioned a couple thread titles out of the thousands, we welcome you! We have a wide array of Oneness Pentecostals here and you too are welcome to read, comment and even start your own discussions.

I don't always agree with whats written here. At times, I've read things I've found really disturbing. But the difference between the author and myself is that I can ignore the things I don't like, and still find enough good on AFF to keep me coming back for more.

Some people can find a demon behind every tree. To them nothing is good. Nothing except what THEY are doing, or what they believe. To the author I say this: Come back, look at AFF again and see if you can find anything good at all. Here, let me help you out. Look for any post or thread started by OneAccord. Because OneAccord is the BEST APOSTOLIC ON AFF!!!!

One important correction. I don't necessarily respect the authors opinion. I do, however begrudgingly, respect his right to express his opinion.

I agree. The word "Filth" just didn't fit. Not to be too critical, but Apostolic preaching has been known to draw from an interesting well of words.

Word choice was only one critique on the technical side for what was essentially an editorial -- not news.

Nope! Never asked for one and was never invited! Don't carry a UPCI, PAW, ALJC card either.

However, some time after being excluded from EA fellowship, I did receive yet another offer to join a Oneness Ministerial organization (small but growing). Which I finally did, in order to provide some assistance with a project of theirs.

Most religious organizations really don't like me very much - because I hold them all accountable for their doctrines. The result? Religious tradition trumps biblical reality almost every time.

I just happen to agree with them that children should usually be excluded from active participation in adult discussion forums. Even "Apostolic" ones. My children wouldn't be involved in debates on EA either. They're simply not ready for that yet.

I agree with you, MissB, concerning children and we were very involved with ours during their formative years.

However, and I thing you agree, that was just an excuse in the article to lambast this forum. I'm surprised they did not include Univeral Reconcilation in their list of condemnation, I'm a bit offended at the slight. LOL
