Assuming that you mean sin, by "walking after the flesh" - then no. That particular vessel has chosen to remove itself (himself/herself) from the exclusive use in the sanctuary and is now being filled with "unclean" elements and is used for things that God never intended for the vessel.
The vessel must be cleaned and reconsecrated by the High Priest (Hebrews 9:8-28). The vessel itself cannot "clean up" itself and make itself holy once again. It could never make itself holy in the first place. Only the High Priest can accomplish this.
It is the High Priest Who consecrates and makes His vessels holy for the service He intends.
My current take is that one can be spirit filled and not be holy but one cant' be holy without the Spirit.

I probably agree with that. However, I would have serious misgivings about the idea of actually "being Spirit filled" and simultaneously involved in open or even secret sin.
There's obviously a "gray area" that a Spirit-filled believer can wander into and the exhortations of the apostles abound with warnings and many encouraging words to avoid that area.
My only "argument" here is that to be "holy" one needs a work of God in their lives. We can't do it ourselves. It's supernatural.

I agree it's 100% God thing, but do see where a spirit person could be lacking holiness thus causing a beffeting/chatisement of the Lord.

If all legalists acted with love and compassion they would stop being legalists. I don't know anyone like you in the "apostolic" ranks. You can teach issi and company a few things about being a follower of Christ. Heaven will have a difficult time repaying you and your family for the sacrifices you make for the gospel. Thank you for making an impact in this world.

Galatians 5:16-26 speaks about walking "in" or "by means of" the Spirit and contrasts that type life to that lived in "the flesh" or "lower nature" or "human nature."
Some teach that when we get saved Jesus comes in as the Holy Spirit but we retain our human or sinful nature until death or until it is changed at the rapture.

That's more like it! Thanks, Sam.
