I would say not submitting to The Lordship of Christ ,would cause someone to be lost.Continually quenching the Spirit or someone voluntarily removing themselves from the Christian experience would cause someone to be lost.
Or too going into a lifestyle that is not conductive to Godliness ,and not repenting over it ,could cause one to fall from grace.

If you read Acts 2 and really look into it you will see what I am saying to you all. It starts at verse 17 and ends with 20, that is the intro to the Message. 21-36 is the body of the Message. 37 asks the question, what do we do in response to the message? Verse 38 tells what our response should be. Repent!
Read it for yourself.....

JTullock:
Place yourself in Peter and the rest of the Apostles shoes: You have just finished preaching the message that starts at verse 17 and concludes at verse 36. The hungry crowd says, Men and Brethren what shall we do?
Please JTullock, what would your answer to this question be? Supply us your verbatim answer to this question??
Thank you.

Since you have just anointed me to preach on the day of pentecost......I am not sure what would have been said for a couple of reasons. 1. I WAS NOT THERE PREACHING THE MESSAGE!!!!. 2. REPEAT #1.
Look if I were in Peters sandals, anointed by God to preach that message I would have probably said the same thing. The HG hit these people and they were like now what do we do next. Peter said repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus....
Look for the HG to have fallen they would have had to repent first. Anytime the HG fell repentance proceeded it. So he was giving them instruction on what to do just as Jesus in Matthew 28:19 gave the apostles.
It that a "straight" answer? It is the best I got. It is hard to fill Peters sandals

Mt 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Different wording, same truth.

He asked for YOUR response, not Peters.
NO one in those sandals the way you danced around the question.

You "probably" would have said the same thing???
Peter's answer is the only answer to the sinner's question, "What must I do??"! Anything less will not deliver; will not redeem; will not remit.
Actually, it's quite easy to follow in Peter's footsteps! Never deviate from it. In doing so you wll save "yourself and them that hear you".
Thank you
