It seemed like such a bizarre thing that the first time visited a Red Robin I saw it on the menu and had to try it. I loved it. Talked my daughter into trying it and it became her favorite. Now just last night my SIL who has avoided it for a year finally tried it and loved it also.

I put it's creator right up there with the person who figured out a fried snickers dessert I used to get at an area restaurant. Snickers bars wrapped in a pastry shell and deep fried then sprinkled with white powdered sugar! Pure genius.

and I get wierd looks when I order a hamburger with a fried egg on it.

and while I cant prove who invented it, the first place I ever saw it was a hamburger joint in Lake Charles called Cottons.

It sounds like the grossest thing ever, and I haven't tried it. But my extremely picky nineteen year old son tried one this year and he is HOOKED.

By the way, whoever posted about ordering it on a wheat bun.........that's about like the whole wheat Krispy Kremes that came out a couple years ago.
