I want to always have the right spirit about this subject. I do know HE called me when I was just a child and I am nothing but obedience to the heavenly call has made the difference in the eternity of thousands across Brazil and in other lands...
Why He called me that I will never know...maybe some man refused to come? I probably was not His first choice but I am glad He called and glad I answered.

Deborah is considered one of the wisest women in the Old Testament. All her activities didn’t hinder her from being a good wife. As judge, she exercised authority in legal matters. As prophetess, she proclaimed the Word of God under divine inspiration. As poet, she wrote poems; she was a gifted woman. She exercised political leadership, military leadership and religious leadership. It would not be an exaggeration to suggest that many men filled the post Deborah occupied with fewer results.

Israel was totally backslid, and it was a disgrace to have a woman lead or kill a man in battle. You are not understanding the situation concerning Deborah and Barak, Jael, and Sisera.

If my understanding is correct to usurp is for someone to overthrow or attempt to overthrow someone,an unruly woman who would be one who is trying to wrangle the authority of a pastor or bishop away from a man.
There were unruly factions of women in the church is Paul's day.

Some have said there is a difference between a prophetess and a preacher. Young’s Analytical Concordance on page 71, tells us that the Hebrew word "Nibah" is a female preacher. So at the death of wicked Ehud, God raised up a woman, a nibah to lead His people.
So if God did it I am satisfied...

One of the meanings of prophesy is to preach,so women do speak under a supernatural annointing,but I don't find a woman bishop in the bible,which this proably offends folks on both sides of the issue.
