Well, I believe I have cast the last vote I could cast for Michael's video. It is just after 2am EST.; otherwise known as 11pm pst.
The scoreboard looks the same (at the top). We are suppose to hear the results on Friday after they look everything over.
Musings/ Knowing that the girl's video was initially in the number one spot and Michael's initially in the 13th or 14th spot; I am hypothesizing that the 20videos were placed according to the order they were submitted.
This meant that those in the bottom half had an extremely difficult task to make it to the top half because of many initially just putting their favorite on top and voting. This was compounded by having a video/blogger in the group whose fans got him to the top quickly.
We were extremely fortunate to have heavy enough voting early on to get Michael as high as the second spot before the blogger took the lead sending Michael then to the third spot where he stayed for several days.
Was it fair for the first few videos to do so well because of where they were placed? Well, consider that they were the first to get their video out there. Anyone else could have captured that advantage.
And I will say one more thing about the girl (one of the very few who submitted videos)... she showed alot of class when ugly, hateful words were put on her viewing page. I salute her for that.
And in fact, many of the videos were comendable and the work that went into some of the videos, extensive. I salute them too.
Anyway, its been a ride that appears to be at end. Thanks for participating. I doubt there will ever be such a contest of this type of ranking again! Goodnight.
