No, what's really amazing is how we usually expose who we are by how we communicate. The tone of your writing leads me to believe you are a victim of your own words.

Which words? What am I a victim of? Be more specific...so I can tell you whether you are correct or not.

I can.
But I think you are being disingenuous. If you have any Apostolic background at all, you surely are aware of the fact that the earthly ministry of Christ was something of a transitional time between the law and grace.
Jesus was the Lawgiver--the Lamb--the Altar--the High Priest.
The holy Ghost was not yet given because Jesus was not yet glorified. Pentecost had yet to come. The keys had yet to be preached by Peter.
That is all basic stuff that our new converts learn quickly.
But I suspect you know that.
Question again--you have read Schopenhauer's "the Art of Controversy," haven't you?

Wow ... the Holy Ghost not yet given.... mmm ..... please elaborate on what you mean .... as it relates to this scripture in John ....
If it had not been "given" why would John, Mary, and Zacarias be filled w/ the Holy Ghost ... and why would Jesus tell his disciples to receive the Holy Ghost all prior to Pentecost?
Maybe in a new thread ... and in relation to the thief.

Daniel, please reconcile the following scriptures for me:
Luk 1:41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:
Joh 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
Joh 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the Scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
Joh 7:39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

We can do the thread, but you know the answers.
The outpouring of the HG was not made available to all believers until Pentecost.

My sentiments exactly. I thought the prophets of old had the H.G., they wrote under its unction didn't they? How can one have the H.G. and not have it?
