Jordan Peterson’s daughter is into eating healthy. More people mess themselves up with bad diet. Again, the biggest problem stems from hormone imbalance.
Depression in males maybe caused by plunging testosterone.

Re: Depression
My precious Aunt Mary suffered with depression for many years, and it was only when she was diagnosed with lung cancer that the depression left. It was the craziest thing to see… suddenly she was her old self again. At her memorial service my cousin said, “Depression took mom from us… cancer gave her back.”
I can’t explain depression, if it is a chemical imbalance or some other physical deal, or if it is demonic… I don’t know.
The only blessing from all of this, a few months before she passed my mom, brother, and their pastor went to my aunt’s home to pray with her. When they knelt beside her chair to pray she was filled with the Holy Ghost! They wanted to baptize her in her home, but Aunt Mary wanted it done in the church house… so when she was well enough to get out a friend brought her to church where she and the friend were both baptized!
I don't have all of the answers, but this is Aunt Mary's story...

Re: Depression
It was common to prescribe lorazepam for cancer patients. It was given as an anti nausea drug. It was found to be highly addictive and difficult to stop taking after cancer treatment was completed. I believe most oncologists stopped prescribing it. Not saying this was the case with Aunt Mary though.

I sure don't have a clue either... all I know is the cancer brought her out of the dark place so that we could reach her with Word one more time.

Re: Depression
I can't speak for you Aunt Mary. But for those who I have been with as they were dying. There were those who got more spiritual as the time drew closer.
My atheist dad, two things he never done before he did before he died. One was tell me that he loved me. The second is that he wanted to find out where he was going and not go myself. I have been with some of the meanest individuals as they were passing on, and there whole attitude changed miraculously. Yet, I have been with individuals who had lived for God there whole lives totally get mean and bitter, as life slipped away.

One thing I was really looking forward to viewing was the discussion panel, the conferences I’ve been to never had them. So, I was interested in seeing one in action in a church setting. The topic was being made whole, and they discussed that ministering to a church, to families can at times be overwhelming. Problems within Pastors homes are often hidden for the fact that “fellowships” might judge them. The participants all agreed that even though that they had faith to see God work in other people lives, it seemed that the problems they were going through were not being solved. It was a very good discussion, not being critical in any way. The reason for this thread is what the wife of the moderator for the discussion said. This Sister (I’m sorry I don’t remember her name) said that I believe for several years she battled depression, and she prayed, had elders pray for her! She said nothing was working, she was in a dark depression. She then went on to say that she went to a doctor to take medication, and I believe she talked with a therapist (that may have been the other gentleman). Anyway, not being critical, nor am I trying to embarrass this Sister. How does anyone here view depression? Do you believe we go to the doctors, take medication and problem solved? Is it spiritual? What say anyone of you...

This is not true.

Re: Depression
Diet, exercise, recreation, prayer, fasting, praise, worship, laughter, etc.... These are some good treatments for depression and no medicine necessary.
