Just like a good (but dry) joke, "If you have to explain it, it just ain't funny anymore". By the way I didn't notice any "phallic" symbols anywhere (not saying they weren't there -just didn't see them) so I guess that means I have no "daddy" issues at least.
And I kinda liked the "bizarre coloring" and "creepy shadow effects", and yes even the "deliberate eroticism". Maybe a bit campy but then again this was made in the middle of the 80's AND it starred Roger Moore (my third favorite Bond actor).
