So far, neither the Woman Taken in Adultery nor the mother and daughter mentioned in the news article appear to have "flaunted" any "rights to sin" let alone filed a law suit.
The girl exercised what I think most folks would have considered bad judgment. I speculated about "being set up for a law suit" because of so many missing pieces to the story. I tried to emphasize that this was purely my own speculation and that it was based on admittedly not having much info to go on.

THIS IS SO DRAMATIC AND EXTREME. THAT MUST BE FUN FOR YOU.
I'm sorry, if the girl had stole a candy bar from the store, or had said a "cuss" word on the playground she would probably have been talked too and told not to do it again, but because she committed a "filthy and disgusting" act of the flesh there is NO ROOM for compassion. Because after all, let's state the simple fact of the matter, the wicked little lesbian heathen is an detestable little sodomite sent into the school to recruit all the other pupils into "choosing" her wicked and vile lifestyle.
YOU SHOULD MAKE MOVIES.
WHO I THE WORLD ON THIS BOARD said this? And WE are judging? Whew.
Your imagination is explosive. Perhaps you can get a job at Disney when you need a break from preaching.
It all comes down to her being a brute beast and HOW IN THE WORLD can we possibly allow a brute beast to thrive in our midst??
Oh my I could so take this thread somewhere but I dont want to hijack it. REALLY, WHEN DID YOU NOT TAKE THIS SOMEWHERE ELSE. You took the first word I SAID somewhere else. I have said my peace and I will leave well enough alone now.
I pray the Father will open up the eyes of that so called "church" before they find themselves with a nice little sign over the door, written by the Holy Ghost that simply reads, Ichabod!!!
|
Well perhaps the father is using little ole YOU to open up our closed little eyes-- (Rolls closed little eyes).
You are doing the very thing you say we have done. The difference is, you are DEAD serious while we are commenting. Because we disagree, you resort to name calling and the judgemental behavior you preach so passionately about.

Yes, He is.
For me, it seems that the almost inevitable outcome to this thing will be that several years from now we will have an angry crusading "lesbian" proudly showing the "scars" from her ordeal with that kind of a Christian school, etc.
A bit of grace, or even just graciousness, can go a long way. Why not just sit the kid down and talk? Kids do dumb things. Kids say dumb things. That's almost a prerequisite for being a kid. Even if the girl and her mom were "too far gone" to be "salvaged," we might have been able to at least not have armed the enemy with something.
The thing I dislike the most about the whole "Gay/BI/Les/Whatever" agenda is the smug self righteousness of many of their in-your-face promoters and leaders. Taking even a little wind out of their sails seems like a huge victory to me. And, being nice to this kid today might have helped us later, years down the line.
I wish you were there, Mama A. (Not wishing all of the tough jobs on you). Graciousness and wisdom counts for a lot even if we could never turn this one kid around.

I see that it still appears there today.
You California folks are just way more "Hollywood" and far more sophisticated than us rubes out here in "Fly-Over Country." So what do you think? Did the school (or teacher) go "too far?" Was an "opportunity to minister" lost here because of the apparently hasty action?
|
As I know Rev Fair fairly well (parents grew up with him) I can not comment on anything that is going on there. The article does not state how long the child was committing the acts, if the child was given the opportunity to change her actions, or if it was an "I See, I Ban" type of response.
The article is a very "This Happened" type article with no detailed facts. You know, one of those 11:00 drive by news stories. FYI The article is just a written form of a Evening News that was aired.
All this while the California State Government is passing bills making it a Mandate to teach on Homosexuals in school. Not in passing, but mandating that history teachers must teach on [people BECAUSE they are Homosexual, not because of what the person did that was significant.

Video clip of the newscast. Notice who gets all the face-time by default when school officials say nothing.

I have a story. YEARS ago I was a Sunday School teacher of a Teen Girls class. These girls came from different backgrounds, and many of them were the first in their families to be saved. One young lady would walk to church, while her mother was at home abusing drugs. Then, two of the young ladies were the daughters of our Pastor. Nevertheless, like children do...they had questions. Some of them started out just with questions. Others began to entertain their questions and even brought the subject up in Sunday School. I had to gain permission from the Sunday School Superintendent to teach this "special class." Some wanted me to stick to the script. Sharing in that number was the Pastor's wife...she suggested that I just stick to the book (World Aflame). Eventually, I did receive permission to teach the "special class" and many of the young ladies got the answers they were seeking concerning what the bible said about sexuality...etc. One of the young ladies was VERY curious...too curious. One Valentine’s day, she had her first encounter with a young lady from her school.
We did not kick her out of the class or anything. We showed love. I even gave her my number to call when she needed extra prayer/support. With all the scriptures that were given, and all the love-- she now is "married" to another woman. Before she made that choice however, she made other girls "curious." Before the end of that year, many of them in that class acted on their curiosity including the Pastor's daughter who STILL engages in that lifestyle. Tragic.
And to think, THEY wanted me just to teach about David and Goliath. Well, we still have giants. THIS ONE is a HUGE GIANT that has to come down in the Name of Jesus.
I say, STAND FIRMLY in the faith, in love, and in truth. Balance is key.

Like I said, that spirit is creeping in to every aspect of our Society. One should not be ashamed to stand against sin.

AMEN! Even if you are called names...I guess this discussion is just practice, because one day (soon) they will be in position to further persecute US because WE won't receive that lifestyle. Christians will support them, claiming that we don't love them, and that we should just hush up and pray. After all, Jesus would just write in the sand and love them.
And while we shout and speak in tongues...they will be somewhere tell our kids that WE are the crazy ones.
Crying ALOUD and sparing NOT is what God told me to do, and I shall continue to.

You're just so mean and judgmental. Where's the tolerance?
