The whole thing there is sad these days. There are 150 people crammed in the front 2 or 3 rows of a 7,000 seat building, and the Swaggarts are taking constant swings at everyone in Christianity, pretty much. It seems like everything they do is because of what people think of them.....which isn't much.

Incredibly, they still bring in 50 million+ annually in donations, with most of it coming from foreign countries (that this in a Christian magazine...can't remember which one)
I had heard that they curtain off most of the building but i didnt know they were down to 150 with that immense building they have. On their TV show i noticed they take very tight and controlled camera shots. I couldnt think of anything more depressing than having a empty building like that. I saw it at Carpenters Home Church which seats 6-7000 folks in Lakeland, FL and they only have maybe 1000 folks in there... that was the saddest service i've ever been to.

Truth is that I haven't listed to him in about a year or more now that I think about it. The lastime I heard him he was preaching about the outpouring of HG. It was a great message. Something that would fit in EVERY Apostolic Church in America. Shouldn't have judged him by one sermon, my bad. I will retract my previous statement....THIS IS MY RECANTATION....But I am sure even Reverend Wright preached an ok message every now and again.

30 Seconds to Mars Rulz! Can't wait for the concert!

Ok, tell you what....since you are in need to absolution, you can regain favor by doing two things:

1) Never, ever give another compliment to a wild, out-of-control, pentecostal/charismatic TV preacher, and;

2) Tell me you love the Foo Fighters and think that Dave Grohl should be president.

Donnie's a nut. Certifiably.
Rick Warren is a man of the devil and needs to be saved?

Sounds like something a three-stepper would say.

Also, there is a group of folks that believe Rick Warren is being used by satan to usher in a one-world government/church

I used to be on another forum with someone who had lots of posts with references to web sites showing how Rick Warren was being used by satan to bring us all into one government and one church.

Then he showed up here with some of that stuff, but I haven't seen him on here lately. Maybe we're too liberal for him.

For the record, I believe Rick Warren is born again
and I have no idea what he believes about water baptism or speaking with tongues.

I believe he is still a card-carrier for the Southern Baptist Convention. however, he certainly doesn't tow their line. No wait, he doesn't "toe" their line. Is it "Toe"? I think it's "toe."
