Re: Pick Your World Series Champ
I think they play this win and lose game to generate more money.
Go Rangers!!!! 4 - 0
Glad they won, but really. Is this for real? I'm starting to wonder.

Well, the Cards have been better than I had thought, but the Rangers are tougher than most think.
After a sixteen run night, the Cards proved Sunday night that they and Albert are mere mortals!!!
We have a real World Series here, but Sunday night the Birds DID NOT know what hit them!!! And by a rookie pitcher, no less!!! Now we need something similar out of our "ace".

I like what Ron Washington said (in so many words), "It's not always about the best team playing. It's about the team that plays the best."
I like how we played last night, and I certainly like Ron's words...

Re: Pick Your World Series Champ
Now that is some baseball!!!! Both of these teams belong in the Series!!!! Great managers and tough players. La Russa is a class act, gives credit and totally supports his players. Wash is simply the best!!

Re: Pick Your World Series Champ
They're both great teams allright, but last nights game was a prime example u mentioned of the Cards choking, prophet CJ!
How many chances can ya blow in one game? I think what got me the most(asside from missed RBI chances) is during the 8th, Pujoles swingin at a pitch a ft out, for lack of confidence in the following batter, Holiday, hadn't done didley squat in the series so he figured he'd get out....so he swings while runner on first is already shot on to 2nd with NO OUTS! They gun him down / making a double out and then to icing the cake Holiday actually got/walked on meaning Pujols for sure made an error by swinging at that rediculous pitch. Just nuts!
Hats off to Texas for locking them down!!!
Tomar night will be an incredible game.
