HA!

I'm afraid you may be disappointed. Not likely to happen..... unless you manage to get the rest of the others actively posting again where I get dragged back in......

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

It's not silver.

That might make it fall under the category of gold or silver or costly apparel.

And I was of course raised better than that. :-)

It's actually a simple cross made of steel.

Your avatar looks like a Knight of Malta, Brother. You make me want to mount a sturdy steed and assail the ramparts of the infidels.

Of course, it doesn't take much to make me want to assail just about anything upon a good horse.

LOL, actually as the official military force of the Vatican they had upgraded, they even have a small air force these days so you could Top Gun instead of mounted steed if you chose.
